My husband and I had an amazing experience at Buddha Belly Doulas’ Preparing for Birth class. Our instructor Amanda was enthusiastic, passionate, and truly so helpful. She answered all questions with no judgement and made everyone feel welcome as soon as class started. Everyone in the class had different levels of prior knowledge when it came to the birthing process and postpartum, and I truly believe that no matter how much knowledge we came in with, we all left much more confident and prepared for all things labor, delivery, and postpartum. As a first time mom, I personally didn’t know much about anything pregnancy/birth and had a lot of anxiety/fear at the beginning of class 1. Through each of Amanda’s classes, that anxiety and fear started to slip away and although there are still hurdles to overcome, I definitely have a much clearer understanding and more realistic expectations of labor and delivery. My husband also gained a much better understanding of the birth process and has become more confident in his ability to support me through the birth of our son and through the postpartum period. I loved seeing him get excited for each class and we definitely owe that to Amanda and her ability to keep everyone engaged. Overall, we had a truly wonderful experience participating in Amanda’s class and would recommend it to any soon-to-be parents who want to become more educated, confident, prepared, and EXCITED for the birth of their little one!
Amanda was amazing. I was honestly hesitant to take such a long class at first, but now I’m glad we did. It was a class we didn’t know we needed, so much good information and Amanda gave so many practical tips for us to take home. She also kept the class very entertaining that the two hours would just fly by. Thank you!
Amanda was extremely welcoming, fun and super informative. My partner and I feel more confident going into my unmedicated labor and birth process!
This class was sooo helpful! I started out absolutely terrified of labor and delivery and now feel empowered, informed and actually excited for it! Amanda is a wonderful teacher
